Contributions Welcome to the Marcia Howe Scholarship Fund
The Printmakers of Cape Cod awards scholarships each spring to Cape Cod students who are heading off to higher education and pursuing an art program. For some time, we have been able to award three scholarships to deserving students.
The students complete an application and prepare portfolios of their art work. We invite them to explain and present their collections to our scholarship committee and other interested members. The Cape Cod Community College offers us the use of their facility for this selection process in early spring.
The student awards are acknowledged at their high school graduation or awards ceremony. However, the payment is not made until satisfactory grades for the first semester are forwarded to our scholarship committee by the colleges.
We need your help!
This year was the first time that we had difficulty meeting the finances for these awards.
We are asking for your help to enable the scholarship fund to continue.
You may send contributions to our Treasurer. Make check payable to “Printmakers of Cape Cod” and
mark the memo area “Scholarship Fund.” All contributions are welcome!

Also, at the receptions for our remaining exhibitions in the Printmakers Trail ’08, we will accepting donations with all offerings going to the scholarship fund.
Our scholarship fund is named after one of our founding members, Marcia Howe. Ms Howe was fond of gathering her fellow printmakers for instruction, offering classes in the community, and hoping to continue the art of printmaking. Please help us to continue honoring her and her goals for the Printmakers. |
