JOURNEY, Mayflower 400 Exhibition
Cape Cod Museum of Art

Printmakers of Cape Cod (USA) and the Tamar Valley Printmakers (UK) will present a new body of artistic work, titled “Journey,” to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s historic journey to North America.

This new body of original prints, created by twenty 20 artists from the USA and 20 from the UK, will be exhibited in both countries during 2020. You can see the exhibition at the Cape Cod Museum of Art,, from April 9- June 21, 2020, with a reception on April 24, from 5:30-7:00pm, and a Gallery talk at 4:00 p.m. preceding the reception. There will also be an opportunity to meet some of the UK artists at a potluck at the Cape Cod Museum of Art on Thursday April 9,from 6-8p.m.

Each artist will express a personal interpretation of the theme, “Journey”, whether from a social, emotional, or historical perspective. The portfolio of 40 original prints will travel to the UK in the summer and fall of 2020 and will be shown at Torre Abbey, Torquay, from July 4-August 23, and at Theatre Royal Plymouth from Sept. 11to November 23, 2020.

Members may enter 2 pieces one or as space allows both will be hung.
All work should be no more than 52 inches total on 2 sides.
All work should not have been exhibited with PCC or at FAC before.

The receiving day is Tuesday, August 27.
Pick up is Tuesday, September 24.
